Sevenoaks & District Football League and Sevenoaks Charity Cup Competition
Result cards
I thought it might be handy to just clarify the procedure regarding the completion of the result cards.
At the 2006 League AGM it was decided that the following should happen on match days.
1. Each Club official (i.e. Manager/ Sec/Team Captain) should sign a result card at the top left hand corner
and hand it to the corresponding official of the opposition.
2. The receiving official should complete the top section of the card then fill in the names of the players of his
team (in alphabetical order) and get his players to sign and add their date of birth against their names.
He then hands it back to the person who gave it to him.
3. When the Club official is satisfied that the names on the card correspond to the players on the pitch he
then hands it back to the opposition Club official.
If he is not satisfied then he should take the query to the opposition official and get it resolved before the
match starts.
4. After the game each official should put a line through any players who did not participate, complete the
details on the right hand side of the card, sign it as “Club official”, put a stamp on it, and post it off to the
Registration Secretary to arrive by first post on Tuesday following the match.
If you are lucky enough to have more than three subs then put their details on the bottom of the card.
Please ensure that all of your team officials are aware of this procedure and of course have a supply of cards.
Hopefully the above procedure will eliminate the complaints that the League Committee receive of
individuals playing but not being on the result card, and will ensure fair play.
